Choosing the Right Images

As you choose your photos and images, or prepare your logos and text, please remember that the quality of the images that you provide directly affects the quality of the laser engraving result. Please consider the following when making your selection.

Photos

Digital Images

• Actual sized photos are preferred
• Minimum 300 dpi
• Tiff format preferred, jpeg is suitable
• Colour photos work best, however black & white and sepia tone are acceptable

Hard Copy photos:

• Actual sized photos are preferred
• Colour photos work best, however black & white and sepia tone are acceptable
• Original photos are required (not computer printed). We will return them to you in the same condition that we receive them in.

Logos and Other Artwork

• Vector format is preferred
• Bitmap, jpg or tiff files at 300 dpi are acceptable
• If using a paper version, please ensure that it is of a high quality print close in size to the expected laser engraved size
• We do not work from faxed images

Laser Cutting

• These files should be sent as either:
• Pdf files preferred,
• Convertible vector to dxf, or
• Straight dxf.

Copyright

Please note: It is our policy that we will not reproduce any items protected by copyright law. The customer is responsible for ensuring that all images supplied by the customer have not violated copyright law.
